TRIGGER WARNING: INFERTILITY
Get ready for an empowering and uplifting episode of the Write Your Own Story podcast! We're sitting down with the amazing Amy Scalia, founder of the women's publication Cincy Chic. Betsy, your host and long-time friend of Amy, kicks off the interview with some warm introductions and a ton of excitement.

Amy takes us back to her days at Miami University, where she rocked the digital journalism scene before it was even cool. After her first job in Philadelphia, Amy realized that Cincinnati was where her heart truly belonged, and she set out to fill a void in women's lifestyle content with the birth of Cincy Chic in 2007. Fast forward 13 years, and Amy's baby had grown into a successful publication, leading her to sell it in 2018 and even launch a sister publication in Columbus. Talk about a boss move!

But Amy's story doesn't stop there. She opens up about her and Pete's journey through infertility struggles and IVF, a path that ultimately led them to the birth of their three beautiful children. Pete, who battles rheumatoid arthritis and has undergone multiple joint replacements, inspired Amy to share their health story, shining a light on the importance of resilience and never giving up.

In the midst of the pandemic, Amy and Pete decided to further spread their message of resilience by launching their brand and podcast, aptly named PS Never Give Up. But they didn't stop there – they also started an online shop and are gearing up to launch a nonprofit. And if that's not impressive enough, Amy has recently taken on a new role at a CBS affiliate, where she's developing their lifestyle content and even preparing to host her very own lifestyle TV show in April. Talk about a woman who knows how to hustle!

Throughout the interview, Amy keeps it real, sharing her personal experiences and reminding us all about the importance of staying true to our values. She gracefully navigates career transitions and reinvents herself while still finding time to prioritize her family. Amy's genuine and relatable approach is sure to inspire you to be kinder to yourself and embrace the beautiful chaos of life.

Join us for this incredible conversation, where Amy Scalia's journey of resilience and reinvention serves as a shining example that we can all live our best lives, no matter what challenges come our way. Get ready to be inspired, empowered, and ready to write your own story!
